3D Global Cup 2016
Another unofficial world championship for RC Helicopter extreme flying took place at the beginning of July in Venlo, Netherlands. Also at this year's event MGM COMPRO was represented by Lukas Vacek, our top pilot.

The event itself
The main event hosted 11 pilots of the ULTIMATE category and 17 pilots of the category EXPERT.There are 3 main parts in the event to get points from and the total sum of points from all disciplines decides about the final position in the whole event.The first demostration of the piloting skills are 5 maneuvers, which are selected by each pilot according to the extent of risk they want to go through.The next one is the music covered flight, wich takes 3 minutes and pilots show their precise choreography of the flight and appropriate timing of each element.Last but not least of the contest disciplines is freestyle. The 3 minute performance, where pilots have to catch the attention of referees by totally insane maneuvers with their RC Helicopters.MGM COMPRO colors were represented also at this year's competition thanks to Lukas Vacek. Lukas wanted to fight for 5th place in overall standings, unfortunately, his strongest discipline (freestyle) didn't end up according to his assumption. After the 7th place in music covered flight and 9th position in the 5 compulsory acrobatic elements, Lukas ended on the 10th place in overall standings.After the initial disappointment, Lukas is motivated to work even harder and fully concentrates on the new opportunities to come.
